Two New Teachers Hired at NHS

NHS would like to welcome Robin Edgerton and Matt Fromelt to the staff at Needles High School. Ms. Edgerton teaches Special Education classes and is a Needles alumni. Mr. Fromelt teaches Physical Education classes at both the high school and middle school and is the new varsity football coach. NHS is very excited to have these two individuals on campus.

Needles Mustang Football team are currently selling Mustang Gold Cards. The cards cost $20 and are good at twenty different business in the Tri State area. Please contact Needles High School if you are interested in purchasing a card.

Any student interested in playing football needs to attend a football meeting on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 at 7:00 AM. The meeting will be held in room #18 at the NHS campus (Mr. Campbell's old PE classroom). All players must have their sports physicals completed and turned in to the NHS office. Practice times are as follows:

Week of August 5th--8th, practice will be held from 7:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
Week of August 10th, practice will be held from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Week of August 17th, practice will start at 3:15 PM and will remain starting at 3:15 PM for the rest of the season.

College Fair

The Needles Unified School District AVID Program will be having their first annual NUSD College Fair. The fair will be held on Thursday, April 29 and 30, 2015, form 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Needles High School gym. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

Golfers slump after great day, take second in Division 1 match

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The Mustang golfers let down some and ended up taking second place in a Division 1 match April 21.

The boys ended up with a team score of 443 at the par 72 Las Vegas National Golf Course. Boulder City came in first with 412 and Moapa came in third with 456.

Needles heads to Mesquite to face Moapa at the par 72 course, The Palms, on Thursday, April 23.

Mustangs fight defensive battle, come up short

NEEDLES — The Mustangs losing streak continued with a 2-1 loss to Lee Williams on April 21.

The Mustangs only gave up two runs in the second inning but only mustered one run themselves in the sixth.

Needles heads to White Pine on Friday, April 24. Varsity plays at 10 a.m. and noon and junior varsity plays at 2 and 4 p.m. The schedule is subject to change without notice.
